Writing in Technicolor

It’s Inspo Monday, and this week’s theme is color.  If you have a case of writer’s block and can’t seem to make any progress on your current project, try to go back through your writing and add color descriptors where appropriate.

  • Example:  the emerald green leaves of the trees in summer

If you’re wanting to start a new work, use color as your muse.  You can write specifically about a color, or maybe even use personification to write about how colors interact with one another, and the relationship between them.

  • Example:  red is anger, or love, or sometimes both at the same time

No matter where you are in your creative process, try using color as your inspiration this week.  Watch how it changes and brightens up the worlds in which you write.
